MONDAY FEBRUARY 11

First day of clinic took place in a private home of a very hospitable family.   The team worked amazingly well together to load, unload and set up the clinic.  We worked with local nurses and a doctor.  The morning started slow but quickly gained speed.  We ended up seeing 85 patients.  We provided education about handwashing, fluoride treatments for children, eyeglasses, visits with a nurse/physician and phamacy services.  We provided lots of meds that the locals couldnt regularly afford.  The local nurses/physician provided HIV tests/immunizations and pap smears.  Overall everyone felt they had positive impact.
Tomorrow will prove to be an even busier day.  On our side is the beautiful weather, the great team and the wonderful people of Nicaragua.
